They must be battered and bruised after the game. This is a body contact sport, so even when no hostile moves are made I am sure injuries are common.</p>
<p>Why, you may say, I am sharing this information with you, well the injury that I experienced recently was very similar to a fall, in a horse riding accident or a hit on the boards.</p>

<p>He also goes to say that about <strong>40 million Americans are affected</strong> and about 30% of healthy seniors. The same case scenario is probably true of the Canadian population.</p>
<p>What Annie and I are hearing from the people that stop at our booth, is that <strong>most suffer the long term sleeplessness</strong> or chronic insomnia.</p>
<p>One point becomes crystal clear as we listen to people: the fundamental necessity of sleep and the rejuvenation that it offers. <strong>Most individuals become worried and overwhelmed by not sleeping</strong>. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Sleep has been studied for millennia by the best minds of each age. Strange and wonderful explanations have been given to describe sleep, but no one really knows what sleep is, or what its true purpose is.</p>
<p>Some researchers state that sleep is required by our brains, for dreams to form and for learning to occur. Others believe that we formulate or process memories in our sleep. When the mapping of mind-brain impulses are finally fully understood then, maybe, a clearer picture of what sleep really is will emerge.</p>
<p>One thing that joins all life on earth is the biological necessity to sleep. All living beings sleep in one form or another, whether we understand the process or not.</p>
<h3>Why We Don’t Sleep</h3>
<p>There are many reasons for insomnia. It could be something as simple as a heavy meal or an extra cup of strong coffee late at night. This <strong>situational insomnia</strong> is easily remedied, by avoiding stimulation or eating late.</p>
<p>Stress, in the form of illness or problems with family, finances or work may cause<strong>acute insomnia</strong> which is not as easily remedied. With early intervention however, even this type of insomnia may be temporary.</p>
<p><strong>Chronic insomnia</strong> can be the result of long-term stress and an individual’s inability to cope with problems or find a workable solution.</p>
<p>Another category of insomnia that is not often addressed has to do with the <strong>elderly</strong>. People that are older and retired, with no special problems or life challenges, can also be affected with insomnia.</p>
<p>The bottom line is that insomnia can affect anyone regardless of age or life situation.</p>
<h3>What Can Be Done</h3>
<ul>
<li><strong>Avoid drinking coffee</strong> any later than 12 noon.</li>
<li><strong>Do not exercise late in the evening</strong>, to avoid over stimulation.</li>
<li><strong>Do not eat heavily at night</strong>, supper should be very light.</li>
<li><strong>Avoid alcohol before bed time</strong> hoping it will put you to sleep. Often you fall asleep quickly but wake up several hours later with worse case of insomnia.</li>
<li><strong>Do not watch TV late at night</strong>, to avoid over stimulating the mind.</li>
<li><strong>Create a dark and quiet sleep environment</strong>, no TV, no lights.</li>
</ul>
<h3>How to Promote Sleep &#8211; Naturally!</h3>
